Revolutionary Building Materials-
-our light weight panels can build a home in a few hours with human labor… no heavy equipment necessary
-shipping costs are less due to the light weight
-we can create more jobs here in the USA manufacturing these panels
-with waste stream source materials for recycling and harmony with the planet
-very high insulation value, runs from R30 to R100
-very little cooling or heating is necessary
-very strong, hurricane proof… will withstand over 150mph winds
In a nutshell:
The use of this unique building material (which will eventually eliminate the need for standard wood or steel construction as well as the need for dry wall during the construction process) eliminates VOC’s and POPs from our living environment. The technology just won 1st place in a FEMA test out of 180 competitive products and was used to construct the largest 4 buildings in the world as well as used in the construction of the Pentagon and White House. This material prevents Mold, is Rust Resistant, Waterproof, Breathable, Fire Retardant, and provides both Thermal and Acoustical Insulation. Furthermore, the basic building material is rated for 150 mph winds, is ecologically friendly, has no outguessing issues and is lighter to ship.
-this is disaster insurance
-this is homeland security
-this is the future for your children
-right here, right now in mass production with Worldsnest very shortly.
-just IMAGINE what we can do together to help one another with this innovative solution.
I also believe a full solution after a disater is to do a lot in a short amount of time. We have the solution for quick, affordable permanent structures, a far cry from the tents and trash huts that are common in disaters like Haiiti. A perfect complement would be to install permaculture to restore the plant life and bring local food production to a thriving capacity.
Here is a very good article from Alex Aylett, of WorldChanging.com about creating a permaculture relief corp: the “PermaCorps.”
“Permaculture’s motto is that nothing goes to waste — which is perfect for situations where there is never enough to go around in the first place. Its community based work is also an inspiring contrast to the shock doctrine approach to emergency aid.”
In the following short podcast, Permaculture Research Institute Managing Director Geoff Lawton talks to ABC radio about the challenges of Haiti and the opportunity to heal both the people and the landscape by giving local people meaningful work in implementing intelligent permaculture designs to rebuild on a sustainable basis.
